What are the functions and precautions of a syringe?
The emergence of syringes was a groundbreaking revolution in the field of medical equipment, and the process of using a needle to extract or inject gas or liquid is called injection. The syringe consists of a syringe with a small hole at the front end and a matching piston core rod. When the core rod is pulled out, liquid or gas is sucked in through the small hole at the front end of the syringe, and when the core rod is pushed in, the liquid or gas is squeezed out.
Syringes can also be used for medical equipment and containers, such as some scientific instruments used in chromatography that are injected through rubber diaphragms. Injecting gas into blood vessels can cause air embolism. The method to remove air from the syringe to avoid embolism is to invert the syringe, gently tap it, and then squeeze out a little liquid before injecting it into the bloodstream.
